- Performed his first concert at AGE 7!!! - Played the Piano, Organ, and Violin - Composed his first piece of music at AGE 12! - His most famous piano piece “Für Elise” was written about the German Opera Singer Elisabeth Röckel. - He composed about 240 works including symphonies for orchestra, string quartets, and only 1 opera called “Fidelio”. - The opening of the 5th Symphony and the finale of his 9th Symphony (a.k.a. - “Ode to Joy” are some of the most recognizable pieces of orchestral music in the world He began losing his hearing in his late 20s and was completely deaf by age 48. |
